I am in love with Salvador Dali's elephants, and indirectly I got the idea to draw a cat in the same way. I was flipping through one of my mom's Stephen King books and I found an article discussing why he uses spider refrences so often even though he himself was afraind of spiders. One example of one of the passages that he wrote was describing a cat that reminded him of a spider. Thats how I got the initial idea. This is actually the 2nd drawing I've done of this cat. The first one turned out horribly, so I drew this one sort of in the same position as the elephants, and it turned out a lot better. Therefore, I've named her Dali.

haha! i love this! it has such an interesting feel to it! I think its wonderful that this kitty is inspired by Dali's elephants!! i want a super long legged cat now...

Seriously, child. I think this is my favorite work of yours so far.
Temptation of St. Anthony, right? One of my absolute favorite artists. A lot of my beasties were indirectly inspired by that painting; that's why so many of them have that long-legged, anorexic look.

Yeah, I've fallen in love with her too. Seriously, I've been drawing her everywhere. I actually looked up a bunch of Dali's paintings. I really like the the one of the lady dreaming and stung by the bee with the floating pomegranate spawning fish which are spawning tigers. I can't remember the name, but I think it was something long and confusing like that.

I've done that before. Fallen in love with a character. Actually, I'm currently doodling my werewolves all over everything. Which makes people ask me what they are and then deny that they look like werewolves. Which adds to the pile of bodies in the freezer. Which is awkward when company comes over and asks why you use so much orange-scent air freshener.
Tangent.
Yeah, I remember that one. The title is long and ridiculous, something like "dream of a bee-sting...etc." Besides St. Anthony, I think my other favorites have to be The Persistence of Memory and Geocentric Child Watching the Birth of a Man (or something like that).
